Performing Arts

Performing Arts at Greensborough College encompasses 3 distinct areas:

Dance

Drama & Theatre Studies

Music.

A team of dedicated teachers guide students in Year 7 & 8 through an introduction to Music and Drama. At Years 9 & 10 students choose a performing arts elective and can engage in Travelling Players or Acting 101. They can engage in Dance through Tango for Two or elect to engage in further music development.

At Year 10 students are offered the opportunity to enter VCE Unit 1 drama and complete all four units by the end of their Year 11. Students are also offered the VCE Drama and Theatre Studies as part of their normal program.

Also at year 11 VET Dance is offered.

The School Production is run in conjunction with the Drama Department but is a separate extra-curricula program to core Performing Arts.
